Includes pick-up and drop-off from Jerusalem
Service Description
Join me for a day of exploration through the breathtaking Judean Desert, starting from the eastern edge of Jerusalem and continuing all the way to the Jordan River and the border with the Kingdom of Jordan. This region holds over 3,000 years of history—from the stories of David and Saul, to the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, and the modern history of Jordan, the Palestinians, and the State of Israel. Highlights of the tour include: • Masada – The ancient desert fortress built by King Herod and later the site of the dramatic final stand of Jewish rebels against Rome. • The Dead Sea – Float effortlessly in the mineral-rich waters of the lowest point on Earth, known for its therapeutic benefits and otherworldly landscape. Optional add-ons (depending on your interests): • Qumran – The archaeological site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered, containing some of the oldest known biblical texts. • Ein Gedi National Park – A desert oasis with waterfalls and wildlife, and the biblical setting of David and Saul’s encounter (1 Samuel 24). This is far from a typical desert tour—it’s a journey through one of Israel’s most dramatic landscapes, filled with powerful stories, history, and natural beauty.
