Sea of Galilee
Sea of Galilee, in Hebrew, The Kineret, is definitely not a sea, but this is a small lake full with views and history.
The Sea of Galilee is Israel’s only natural freshwater source, and while locals love to check the water levels, we will focus on the stunning views and explore its deep connection to Jesus and the Bible.
Our day begins at the Mount of Beatitudes, the traditional site of the "Sermon on the Mount" (Matthew 5:3–12). This serene spot offers breathtaking views and a perfect setting for reflection.
Next, we’ll visit Capernaum, known as "The Hometown of Jesus." Together, we’ll uncover the story behind this title as we explore the ancient synagogue and the house of Peter, delving into the town’s archaeological treasures.
A short drive takes us to Tabgha, the traditional site of the "Feeding of the Multitude" with loaves and fish. Inside the church, you’ll see one of Israel’s most iconic mosaics. Nearby is another church, dedicated to Peter’s primacy, both beautifully situated by the waters of the Sea of Galilee.
We’ll also visit Magdala, the hometown of Mary Magdalene. Here, you can walk among ancient ruins, see a unique first-century synagogue, and admire a stunning church overlooking the sea.
If you wish, we can end the tour with a peaceful boat cruise on the Sea of Galilee, taking in the tranquility and beauty of this sacred site.
